What is SlothSays?

SlothSays is a fast, family-friendly party game where players race to name as many things in a category as they can — out loud. Tap in, pick a topic, and let Sleepy Sloth keep score.

Which devices does SlothSays run on?

SlothSays is available on iPhone and iPad through the Apple App Store. You’ll find the supported iOS version listed on the App Store product page.

Is SlothSays suitable for children?

The categories are written for a broad audience and the game is suitable for older children to play with friends and family. SlothSays is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. Parents and guardians can use Apple Family Sharing and Screen Time controls (Settings → Screen Time) to manage purchases and screen time on a child’s device.

Why does SlothSays need microphone and speech recognition permission?

Some game modes listen for spoken answers in real time. Audio is processed only to recognise your answer during a round — we don’t record, store, or upload your voice recordings. Speech transcription itself is performed by Apple’s built-in speech recognition. You can play the typed-input modes without granting microphone access. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Subscriptions & purchases

Is SlothSays free?

Yes — SlothSays is free to download and includes a selection of free categories. For full access to every theme and category we offer optional in-app purchases (see the next question).

What can I buy in the app?

Local prices are shown on the in-app purchase screen before you confirm. Full purchase terms are in our Terms of Purchase.

How does auto-renewal work?

Your SlothSays Premium subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your region, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription / unsubscribe?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap SlothSays, then tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also manage subscriptions on the web at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep your premium access until the end of the current billing period.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the SlothSays purchase you’d like to report. If you’re stuck or something has gone wrong on our end, email contact@sleepyslothgames.com and we’ll do what we can to help.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Sign in with the same Apple ID you used originally, install SlothSays, then open the in-app paywall and tap Restore Purchase. Apple will validate your receipt and restore access to any active subscription you’ve already bought.

Will my subscription work on iPhone and iPad?

Yes. Your SlothSays Premium subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so it’s available on every device you sign in to with that account.

Will I be charged after a free trial?

If we offer a free trial or introductory price, the subscription will convert to the standard price at the end of the promotional period unless you cancel beforehand. You can cancel at any time using the steps above.

Account, data & privacy

Do I need an account to play SlothSays?

No. SlothSays works without an account. If you choose to use Sign in with Apple we receive an opaque user identifier and either your email address or a private Apple relay address — only enough to recognise you across devices.

How do I delete my account or data?

Most of your SlothSays data lives only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes that local data. If you signed in with Apple, or have data stored on our backend, you can request full deletion in two ways:

Deleting your account does not automatically refund or cancel an active subscription — please cancel via Apple first using the cancellation steps above.

What data does SlothSays collect?

We’re designed to collect as little as possible: optional account info if you sign in with Apple, anonymous purchase status, and anonymised crash reports. We don’t sell your data, don’t show third-party ads, and don’t track you across other apps. Read the full breakdown in our Privacy Policy.
